楚塞三湘接，荊門九派通。
江流天地外，山色有無中。

It connects Chu frontiers with Xiang River,
and links the nine waters with Mount Jingmen.
The river’s flow exceeds terrestrial domain,
and leaves the outline of far mountains indistinct.

郡邑浮前浦，波瀾動遠空。
襄陽好風日，留醉與山翁。

Ahead the village center floats upon riverbank,
and strong waves shake distant skies.
Xiangyang’s weather is great,
I’ll linger drunk like old Shan Jian.
