The Paradox of Youth and Desire

I used to be young and poor. I wore rags but had a healthy body, walked nimbly over trash-strewn streets and feasted with a voracious appetite on stale bread. This was not held in high-regard and I resolved to change my sitution through work. Now I am rich and old. I now have a beautiful garden but cannot see it because of my fading eyesight, wear the most-attractive clothes over my wrinkled skin, and eat the finest delicacies. Oh the paradox–life is backwards; what I would do to be young and rich with a body and spirit able to enjoy the best things in life.
